Farmer killed in rhino attack at Kaziranga; wild buffalo kills woman at Changsari
GUWAHATI, Jan 3: A woman was killed after she was attacked by a wild buffalo at Changsari on the outskirts of Guwahati in Assam’s Kamrup district while an attack by a rhinoceros left a farmed dead at Kaziranga.
The woman, identified as 38-year-old Lakheswari Murari, hailed from Sonapur on the eastern outskirts of the capital city but stayed at Changsari where she worked at a private factory.
The incident took place at Koroibari locality of Changsari.
The wild buffalo, meanwhile, has been holed up inside a drain near the National Highway 31.
On the other hand, a rhinoceros attacked a farmer named Omram Gonok (30) at No 2 Kohora Mohpara village.
