6 Delhi schools get bomb threat mails, second alert in a week
GUWAHATI, Dec 13: Four days after 44 Delhi schools received bomb threat emails, which later turned out to be hoaxes, six more Delhi schools received threat e-mails today morning, prompting another multi-agency search.
Threat e-mails were received by Bhatnagar International School, Paschim Vihar, Cambridge School, Shri Niwas Puri; DPS Amar Colony, East of Kailash; South Delhi Public School, Defence Colony; Delhi Police Public School, Safdarjung and Venkateshwar Global School, Rohini, reports said.
The e-mails, reports further stated, were sent at 12:45 am warning that the schools would face bomb blasts on Friday and Saturday.
Police and other agencies took no chances after the mails were received although it appeared from the pattern in which they were sent that the threats would be nothing but hoaxes.
Delhi Police, however, carried out thorough checks and searches with the schools receiveing the bomb threats today shifting to online mode of classes.
Earlier on Monday, a multiple-agency search was conducted after 44 Delhi schools received e-mail warnings about bombs being planted in the schools. The threat e-mails turned out to be hoax with nothing suspicious found.
