GUWAHATI, Nov 13: As president-elect Donalt Trump gets ready for his second innings as American president, he has made a number of key appointments in his new team ‘Trump 2.0’.
Here are five key appointments the President-elect has made in his new team so far.
1. Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy: Department Of Government Efficiency
President-elect Donald Trump’s most ambitious announcement has been Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy who will lead his new ‘Department of Government Efficiency’. The newly-created department aims to dismantle government bureaucracy and cut down government spending and restructure federal agencies.
2. Mike Waltz, National Security Adviser
Trump has choosen Mike Waltz as the National Security Adviser of United States.
3. Pete Hegseth, Secretary Of Defence
The biggest surprise in Trump 2.0 has been the appointment of 44-year-old Pete Hegseth, a Fox News host and Army veteran, who was selected for the coveted post of Defence Secretary in Trump’s new cabinet.
4. Tom Homan, Border Czar
Former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Thomas D Homan, has been appointed “border czar” in Trump’s second administration.
5. Kristi Noem, Secretary Of Homeland Security
Kristi Noem, South Dakota Governor, has been nominated by Trump to become the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
