NDA to win both Maharashtra & Jharkhand, exit polls indicate

GUWAHATI, Nov 21: The NDA is expected to win the assembly elections in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand with exit polls suggesting that the BJP and its coalition partners will have the last laugh in both States when results are declared on November 23 (Saturday).

While the poll of exit polls suggested that the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance could bag as many as 158 seats in the 288-member assembly, the BJP-led NDA is expected to bag 45 seats in Jharkhand.

While Jharkhand went to polls in two phases — on November 13 and 20 — elections were held in a single phase in Maharashtra on November 20.

Counting of votes will begin at 8 am on November 23.
