Maharashtra votes in single phase to elect new Govt; voting in second phase also underway in Jharkhand
GUWAHATI, Nov 20: Voting for 288 seats in Maharashtra is underway after a bitter campaign between the ruling Mahayuti and the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi with moderate to brisk voting reported from across the State.
On the other hand, voting in the second phase of elections in the remaining 38 seats is also being held in Jharkhand. The BJP in Jharkhand is eying a decisive mandate to oust the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Government from power.
Voting in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand began at 7 am. While it will end at 6 pm in Maharashtra, the exercise wil conclude at 5 pm in Jharkhand barring 31 booths where it will conclude at 4 pm.
