Armed Naga outfit demands Rs 25 lakh ransom to release abducted Assam shopkeeper
GUWAHATI, Nov 29: The armed Naga outfit that abducted a businessman of Sonari from his shop has demanded Rs 25 lakh for his release.
Moslek Ali was abducted by a group of armed Naga miscreants from Namtola, Sonari, on the evening of Nov 25.
In another video released by the abductors, the shopkeeper is heard speaking in Nagamese, urging his family to manage Rs 25 lakh to secure his release.
“Please arrange Rs 25 lakh, possibly by today evening, so that they release me. Manage the money at any cost even if it requires selling our shop and property,” the abducted shopkeeper was heard telling his family members in the video.
A group of armed men had stormed into Moslek Ali’s shop and forcibly took him with them after resorting to a few rounds of blank fire besides also tossing a grenade in front of his shop before making good their escape.
