ISL: Chennaiyin FC beat Northeast United FC 3-2

GUWAHATI, Oct 18: Northeast United suffered a home defeat at the hands of Chennaiyin FC who came from behind to score a 3-2 win over the highlanders at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Thursday.
Wilmar Jordan Gil scored a brace while Lukas Brambilla scored the third goal to help the Chennai outfit register a victory over NEUFC.
Nestor Albiach scored the opener for the hosts but they fell behind as the Marina Machans netted three to take a 3-1 lead.
Alaaeddine Ajaraie, who was dragged in the penalty box towards the fag-end of the match, pulled one back although it was not enough for the Highlanders to salvage anything from the game as Chennaiyin FC grabbed all three points.
