Ahead of Diwali, Doctors warn of alarming health risks from noise & air pollution
GUWAHATI, Oct 24: Diwali, the festival of lights, is round the corner. Ahead of the festivities and the merriment, the air is filled with excitement and people are busy decorating their houses for the festival.
However, as preparations for the festival are underway, doctors have sounded a note of caution, warning people about noise and air pollution that will accompany the festivities.
Doctors across the country have asked people to celebrate a safer Diwali and avoid the risk of picking up injuries, mainly in the form of burns and also noise and air pollution.
