Ind v Eng 2nd Test: Shubman Gill finds form, slams third test ton
GUWAHATI, Feb 4: Out-of-form India batter Shubman Gill silenced critics as he slammed a century in the second innings of the second test against England at the Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam today.
Gill made 104 runs as he reached triple figures for the first time in 13 innings in the longest format of the game.
This is Gill’s third test century and it paved the way for India to extend a decisive lead against the tourists in the second Test.
Gill’s innings came after Skipper Rohit Sharma and in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had smashed a double century in the first innings, were dismissed by James Anderson after start of play on Day 3.
