Actress Shruti Haasan praises ‘bhut jolokia pickle’, thanks people of Assam for producing it
In a recent Instagram story posted by well-known actress Shruti Haasan, she has been showering the indigenous “Bhut Jolokia” (Ghost Pepper) of Assam with all her praises and love.
As stated by her, she was not in a good state of health for a few days due to which she had some Bhut Jolokia pickle which instantly elevated her health.
She also thanked the people of Assam, saying she was eternally grateful to them with all her heart for producing this indigenous crop filled with medicinal benefits.
Shruti has always been awed by Assam’s cultural traditions.
The food, the local music, their traditional dresses are just some of the things that impressed Shruti about Assam.
Last year, Shruti who was in Guwahati to celebrate Rongali Bihu with her beau Shantanu Hazarika, dressed for an event in a gorgeous black traditional Assamese sari.
Commenting on the same Shruti adds, “Assam is so culturally rich and such a beautiful place. The people are so warm and welcoming and their hospitality is endearing. I learnt some lovely local recipes that I wish to recreate in my kitchen too, it was a memorable experience that I’ll cherish for a long time” she smiles.
