Assam Police seizes large quantity of fake currency, apprehends two

The Assam police seized a huge quantity of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and held two persons in the Jorabat area on the outskirts of Guwahati.
The cops seized FICN after getting intelligence inputs and the team accordingly carried out a raid at the 14th-mile area, Jorabat, and apprehended two persons. The two accused have been identified as Md Abdul Kadir and Samir Uddin.
Diganta Borah, Commissioner of Police, Guwahati said “Police recovered FICN of Rs 2 lakh of Rs 500 denomination and three mobile phones from them.”
A case has been lodged and the investigation into the matter is underway.
