Assam | HSLC 2024 exam with 50% multiple-choice questions in 4 core subjects: SEBA
GUWAHATI, Sep 13: The HSLC Examinations will be conducted with some major changes in the question paper pattern starting from next year, the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA), which conducts the 10th board exams in Assam, stated.
Personalized OMR Sheet will be introduced for answering objective type questions (50% of total marks) carrying one mark each in four subjects — English, General Mathematics, General Science and Social Science, SEBA stated in a release issued today.
Separate answer scripts will be provided as before to answer the remaining 50% questions.
SEBA also stated in the release that the HSLC Examinations, 2024 will be held from the first week of February next year.
“It is proposed to hold the HSLC Examination, 2024. In this examination personalized OMR Sheet will be introduced for answering objective type questions (50% of total marks) carrying one mark each in case of core subjects i,e. English, General Mathematics, General Science and Social Science,” the release stated, and added: “It is felt that the students are already familier with OMR system since this system is being continuously used for evaluation of the students in Gunotsav. As the OMR will be personalized, there will be one OMR sheet in the name of a particular candidate.”
“For the remaining 50% questions, separate answer scripts containing 16 pages will be provided as before,” the release added.
SEBA has also fixed the eligibility criteria for students to appear in the board examination.
