Apple announces iPhone 15 launch event on September 12
The launch of the iPhone is Apple’s biggest annual event and people eagerly wait for it every year. A recent Bloomberg report revealed that the production of iPhone 15 will begin in Tamil Nadu, India, soon. A Foxconn Technology Group’s plant in Sriperumbudur is gearing up to manufacture the new series of iPhones. The report added that the Indian plant is aiming to deliver the devices just weeks after they start shipping from factories like China. People familiar with the matter told the publication that the company is trying to increase the volume of iPhones coming from India.
Other suppliers in India, the Pegatron Corp. and a Wistron Corp. factory that is being acquired by the Tata Group will also start production of the iPhone 15 in India soon. However, a question looms over the scale of the production of the new phones. As per the report, the scale will depend on availability of components, that are majorly imported.
Various rumours and leaks have been surfacing online about the upcoming iPhones and Apple is expected to make some big changes with the new phones.
All models of the iPhone 15 are rumoured to have the Dynamic Island Notch design. Currently, the Dynamic Island notch is only a part of the iPhone 14 Pro models.
In addition to this, the new iPhones might also come with a USB Type C charging support, which is a first for Apple.
Reports have also said that the camera of the iPhone 15 will also receive some major upgrades and the low-light camera performance might see a massive improvement. Some reports have also said that the iPhone 15, and even the iPhone 15 Plus, will come with an upgraded 48-megapixel primary camera sensor. The iPhone 14 packs a 12-megapixel dual camera system. So, comparatively, the iPhone 15 is going to offer big camera upgrades.
Coming to the performance bit, the iPhone 15 is rumoured to be powered by the A17 Bionic chipset, which will be a massive upgrade over the iPhone 14.
The price of the iPhone 15 Pro models might be much more expensive this year, leaks have suggested. However, the standard and Plus versions of the phone might be available at the old prices. We will get more clarity on this when the launch date approaches.
