Jorhat: Miscreants open fire at business outlet in Jorhat, an employee injured; one attacker arrested

In a sensational incident,  one person was injured after he was shot at by miscreants in the Marwaripatty locality in the heart of Jorhat town on Saturday night.

The injured person has been identified as Sunil Sharma.

The victim was shot in his left leg by the miscreants.

The motorcycle-borne miscreants opened fire after arriving at the outlet with an intention of robbery.

Although the miscreants fired at one of the employees, injuring him in his leg, one of them was caught by a group of passersby although the other managed to flee.

Meanwhile, the police also recovered the pistol used during the firing and some other weapons.

The police launched a manhunt to nab the other miscreant who managed to escape from the spot.

The injured person is currently undergoing treatment at Jorhat Medical College Hospital.
