Shami replaces Bumrah In India’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Squad
The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Mohammed Shami as Jasprit Bumrah’s replacement in India’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. Shami has reached Australia and will link up with the squad in Brisbane ahead of the warm-up matches.

Jasprit Bumrah who is suffering a stress reaction during the T20I leg of the series against South Africa was a massive blow to Team India ahead of the T20 WC.
Currently, the main squad for global cricketing is in Perth where they have undergone a one-week training camp to up their skills and also a practice match against Western Australia.
The final decision on Shammi’s decision was made after his fitness was assessed.
Since the previous edition of the ICC T20 World Cup in November 2021, Mohammed Shami did not play any T20I cricket.
After recovering from COVID-19, Mohammed Shami was training at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
