Morigaon tax official, Dibrugarh education officer caught red handed taking bribes, arrested
GUWAHATI, July 29: Vigilance and anti-corruption sleuths in association with Morigaon and Dibrugarh police arrested two government officials in two separate raids after they were caught red handed accepting bribes.
In the first case, Morigaon District Excise Superintendent Barsha Bora Bordoloi was caught red-handed accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe money after a trap was laid following a complaint that she had demanded Rs 1 lakh from a bar owner.
On the other hand, Nabajyoti Sarma, Dealing Assistant in the office of BEEO, Khuwang, Dibrugarh was arrested by a team of vigilance and anti-corruption and Dibrugarh police while he was accepting bribe money.
