Geography and History to replace Social Science in SEBA curriculum
GUWAHATI, July 29: The Assam Government has decided to introduce two new subjects Geography and History in SEBA’s school curriculum and these two subjects will replace the existing subject of Social Studies. With Geography and History replacing Social Studies, the number of subjects will increase from six to seven subjects.
A decision in this regard was taken by the Assam Cabinet on Wednesday.
Apart from this, the State cabinet took a slew of other decisions concerning the education sector including teaching of Mathematics and Science in English in all Government schools, making all schools co-educational and an experimental move to introduce dual medium of instruction from Class VIII to Class XII in Assamese medium schools.
