Assam reports 755 fresh Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Guwahati: Assam reported 755 fresh COVID-19 cases with three more deaths in the past 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

With this, Assam’s COVID-19 tally has gone up to 7,31,662 at present.

The new cases were detected after conducting the 7,121 COVID-19 tests in the state.

The highest cases were reported from Baksa (64), Goalpara (63), Kamrup Metro (60) and Dibrugarh (60).

The daily positivity rate is 10.60 per cent while there are now 4,858 active cases in the state.

A total of 7,18,798 patients have been cured of the disease so far, with the recovery rate being at 98.24 per cent.

As many as 303 COVID-19 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the three deaths were reported from Cachar (1), Kamrup (1) and Udalguri (1).
