Assam: Inter-state drugs smuggling racket busted, 1.5 crore contraband seized

Guwahati: Acting on specific inputs, the Assam Police has busted an inter-state drugs trafficking racket and seized contraband worth over Rs 1.5 crore.
The contraband was recovered at the Simaluguri railway station in Eastern Assam’s Sivasagar district.
As per preliminary inputs, the consignment was transported from Dimapur in Nagaland to Assam’s Tinsukia district.
Meanwhile, 2 persons have been arrested in connection with the case.
