Guwahati: Miscreants Vandalize Temple in Bhetapara, damage idols

Guwahati:  In a shocking incident, unidentified miscreants vandalized a Shiva Temple and Ganesha Temple by damaging the idols in Guwahati’s Bhetapara late Tuesday night.

The incident came to light after some priests along with devotees reached the temple this morning and found the idols of Lord Shiva and Ganesha broken.

“We informed the police early morning at around 6 am but they arrived at 8.30 am after repeated calls,” a local claimed.

A Ganesh mandir was also vandalized by the miscreants wherein the idol of lord Ganesh was uprooted from its place and thrown outside the temple, sources said.

Meanwhile, city police have launched a manhunt to trace the miscreants involved in the incident.
