Guwahati: Minor Siblings kidnapped from Hatigaon rescued in Bihar’s Kisanganj

Guwahati: Two minor siblings who were apparently abducted from Hatigaon area in Guwahati on May 27  have been rescued from Kisanganj in Bihar. 

The father of the siblings — a 13-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy — had lodged a complaint with Hatigaon Police, alleging that his two children were kidnapped from his residence in Sijubari area of Hatigaon in Guwahati.

In the complaint filed with police, he accused a person named Shah Rukh Khan, who he said was the person with whom his wife had eloped a few months ago, to have masterminded the abduction of his two children.

On Saturday, Bihar police reportedly recovered the ‘kidnapped’ siblings in Kishanganj, Bihar, where their mother is presently staying after eloping with her alleged lover. The father of the two kids claimed that his children were abducted by an unidentified man who befriended the minors after claiming to be their maternal uncle. 

Speaking to the media the father of the siblings said, “My children were abducted by an unidentified man who is related to my ex-wife’s alleged boyfriend Shah Rukh Khan. My ex-wife and her boyfriend can’t come here as a case is already registered in their name so they have sent this unidentified man to abduct my kids. The man impersonated himself to be my children’s maternal uncle and took advantage of the situation and abducted my kids. I am very grateful to the Police as they worked very swiftly and rescued my kids. Right now my kids are at Kisanganj, Bihar and a team of Hatigaon Police has left Guwahati to bring my kids back. “
