Assembly Elections has no role in fuel price rise: FM

Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman has denied the opposition claims that the government of India is increasing fuel prices as the Assembly elections are over. Finance Minister Sitharaman also added that increase in prices of fuel has no relation with elections.
According to Sitharaman, the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine is one of the primary reasons as it has disrupted the supply chain of crude oil.
