Swachh Survekshan 2021: Indore secures the title of country's cleanest city for fifth time in succession, Surat follows

Indore was delegated with the 'Swachhata Ka Taaj' by President Ram Nath Kovind at the 'Swachh Amrit Mahotsav' coordinated by MoHUA at Vigyan Bhawan.

 

Indeed, even as India's public capital Delhi reels under air contamination, Madhya Pradesh's Indore city secured the title of the country's cleanest city for the fifth time in succession. Gujarat's Surat and Andhra Pradesh Vijaywada got the second and third positions separately.

 

While Surat has clutched its place from last year, Vijaywada dislodged Navi Mumbai to get the third spot. Indore was delegated with the 'Swachhata Ka Taaj' by President Ram Nath Kovind at the 'Swachh Amrit Mahotsav' work coordinated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.

 

Swachh Survekshan is a piece of the Center's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which expects to make India perfect and liberated from open poo. This overview is directed every year in the parametres of neatness, cleanliness and sterilization in urban communities and towns the nation over.

 

A sum of 4,320 urban areas were shrouded in the 6th release of the Swachh Survekshan 2021 overview, making it the world's biggest metropolitan neatness review. Chhattisgarh has been granted the cleanest state for the third year straight. In different classifications, Varanasi won the honor for the cleanest Ganga town, while Ahmedabad cantonment was declared the cleanest cantonment in the country.
